A dog's life，好事壞事？

英文用語中，狗有用於正面的:述，諸如top dog，代表 尖的、尤其是透過激烈競爭ê出的人 事 物：a person, group, or thing in a position of authority, especially through victory in a hard-fought competition.

He used to be the top dog in the competitive profession. 他曾是這個競爭激烈行業中的翹楚。

另有：Like a dog with two tails，像一頭有兩根尾巴的狗，是指 very happy，很 ，有“樂不可支”的意象。

The successful applicant was happy like a dogwith two tails.成功的申請者開心得手Ê足蹈。

新時代也流行這一¼：Love me, love my dog. 愛我，也愛我的狗。 可用於叫人愛õ及烏的場景。

也有 dogged 及 doggedly，套諸形容像狗一般的堅毅、迎難而上：

s的來說，英文中的狗“受寵”的時候並不多。œ如說，常用的一個習語，是“一¿狗的生活”。

Ð dog's life，代表的是：日出日落，拿得到的就拿吧，自掃門前雪就好，當中流露無力及無助低：Take what you want and only look out for yourself because that's what everyone else is doing。聽起來勞碌困苦，狗一般的生活…定是壞事吧？

不過要留意，adog's life是一¼老話， «自幾百年前狗的露`、吃剩飯及給人嫌棄的可憐生涯。

但語文的用法跟着時代變遷，子日同一¼話，隨着養家居動物尤其是名種狗的流行ÌÌ 睡軟墊吃大餐又抱又親ÌÌ意思隨時會得相ù，看下面這一¼：

I had breakfast in bed and did nothing the whole day. It's a dog's life.我躺在床上吃早餐，整日沒做過什麼。真是（寵物）狗一般的生活。

看，這是另一個極端的表達了。
