A convenient tourist hub, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s sixth floor sees a good curation of restaurants, including Celadon. The Thai eatery sees pops of colour here and there, and is swanky enough for dates but also family-friendly. A test of any Thai restaurant’s standards, the pandan chicken has just the right ratio of aromatic spices; unwrapping it releases tendrils of aromatic steam. Seafood lovers should definitely order the mud crabs with yellow curry, as the dish brings a whole new meaning to ‘finger licking good’—we abandoned our cutlery and went hands in. If by some small chance, you still have room for sweets, get the steamed pumpkin with coconut custard, which was much nicer than the mango sticky rice.
