This time-tested restaurant can be a tad troublesome to locate if you’re unaware of Bangsar Shopping Centre’s ‘secret’ third floor, but droves of loyal fans book out the restaurant even on weekdays. Jarred spices & batik motifs adhere to the Malay eatery’s theme, and if you didn’t already guess, the star dish on the menu is the restaurant’s namesake—the ‘dancing fish,’ a deep-fried tilapia served whole, is served with sambal or a side salad. Birthday celebrations are the norm here, and the waiters who double as entertainers can belt out quite a tune!
