A popular place for after-work drinks and dinner if you don’t mind the noise levels and close proximity to other tables. Tastefully designed and outfitted with mood lighting, the Thai restaurant isn’t 100% authentic, but how many tipplers have the willpower to turn down tom yum tacos? If dining in a group, get the Play-thaim Platter with pandan chicken, Thai fishcakes, crab spring rolls and sesame prawn toast to share. While the spicy Thai beef tataki, papaya salad and red ruby and mango sticky rice desserts score well for taste, freshness and presentation, the tom yum soup is mediocre at best. Wash everything down with the Thai Mojito, a concoction of ginger ale, Mekhong spirit, mint, lime and mango; the refreshing cocktail is fantastic for finishing off a rich meal.
