Built using white timber (hence ‘kayu putih,’ meaning ‘white wood’ in Malay), this ‘floating’ restaurant resembles something straight out of Architectural Digest folds. Even the bread rolls and spreads leave quite an impression; we couldn’t resist snapping a picture of the jam shaped like a petite apple. Melding Asian flavours with Western cooking techniques, the kitchen takes pride in serving fusion dishes such as the cod fish with assam pedas risotto and the pan-seared red snapper with laksa sauce. The beautiful plating and breathtaking surroundings make Kayu Puti the ideal setting for proposals and anniversary celebrations.
