COLLECTIVE FLAIR
Timeless, versatile and stylish, Arper’s iconic collections are the result of successful creative collaborations achieved through the proven combination of technology and craftsmanship
At the mention of Italian furniture brand Arper, simple yet sophisticated pieces come to mind. But the simplicity of their collections is just the starting point as Arper’s impeccable style is always articulated with meticulous touches of distinctive creativity and quality craftsmanship that stand the test of time and trends. Founded by Luigi Feltrin in 1989, Arper started out as a small leather manufacturing company in Italy. Fuelled by the Feltrin family’s passion and creativity, the company began to take on a more design-centred approach in the late 1990s initiated by Luigi’s son, Claudio, leading to the adoption of new materials and technological solutions. Following this, the company also began establishing long-term partnerships with leading designers around the world, including Lievore Altherr Molina and Jean-marie Massaud who collaborated on different creations of collections that set the Arper brand apart from others. Through these milestones, the company eventually moved into the contract sector – now representing around 80 per cent of the company’s turnover. Today, Arper is renowned for its design-focused use of new materials and technologies. Helmed by Luigi’s sons, Mauro and Claudio who have taken on the role of vice president and CEO of the company respectively, the company employs around 230 people between its headquarters in Monastier di Treviso and its subsidiaries, branches and showrooms in Italy and abroad. “We have always considered ourselves first and foremost as a family facing challenges together. My father is still a driving force, encouraging us to never stop evolving.
