WHY GO

-

A wide array of excellently-prepared Japanese cuisine and an impressive drinks menu, all within a modernist setting, seals its reputation as one of the best Japanese restaurants in town.

Begin with the stir-fried thinly sliced Australian Wagyu beef with gravy. In unison with the mushroom slices, bell pepper and onions, the perfect texture of the premium beef just melts in the mouth.

Presentation for the 5 kinds of assorted sashimi is fantastic. On an ice bed lies generous cuts of the chef’s selection of the freshest produce of the day. Also, try the recommended dragon rolls, it is chockful with soft-shelled crab smothered in mayonnaise and ebiko. A signature dish of the restaurant, the new Zipangu style grilled cod with Saikyo miso is wellseasoned so that every bite of the miso-infused cod is marvellous. This dish goes very well with the unagi fried rice; the Japanese short-grained rice is cooked to crunchy perfection and topped with copious amounts of unagi bits.

Complete the feast on a cool note with the must-try matcha ice cream and rice flour dumplings. The concoction of tapioca, red beans, coconut milk and palm sugar syrup is refreshingly flavourful.
