Even Jennifer Lawrence has trouble finding a date

LOS ANGELES: Jennifer Lawrence, star of the “The Hunger Games” and “X-Men”, and the highest earning actress in Hollywood, has admitted that even she has trouble dating.

She may be the highest-paid lady actor in Hollywood, but Lawrence says that she has trouble finding a date.

She claims that she spends most weekend evenings alone.

“No one ever asks me out. I am lonely every Saturday night. Guys are so mean to me,” Lawrence, 25, complained to Vogue for its December issue. “I know where it’s coming from, I know they’re trying to establish dominance, but it hurts my feelings. I’m just a girl who wants you to be nice to me. I am straight as an arrow.”

Currently single, Lawrence had been involved in high-profile romances in the past. She ended her three-year relationship with her “X-Men” co-star Nicholas Hoult in August last year, before commencing an onoff relationship with Coldplay singer Chris Martin that finally ended in July.

“It’s strangely exhilarating because you keep trying to fight for that validation. You want to have (validation) before you get married, so that you don’t seek it out once you are,” she explained. “I feel like I need to meet a guy, with all due respect, who has been living in Baghdad for five years who has no idea who I am.” She also added that quite a lot of men make her feel “insecure”.

Though she’s discouraged at this moment in time, Lawrence admitted that she did ultimately want to get married and settle down. “I can’t wait to be married,” she revealed. “I feel like if I find that one person who I want to spend the rest of my life with, who I want to be the father of my children, that I would absolutely not (expletive) it up… but I’m also not banking on that.”
