See Hua Group spends over RM10 mln on new printing line

-

SIBU: The See Hua Group has invested over RM10 million to install a new printing line at its Sungei Antu factory here, its group chief operating officer (COO) Temenggong Dato Vincent Lau Lee Ming disclosed yesterday.

He said with the new printing line, readers could expect better printing quality and more colour pages.

In the meantime, he hoped readers could bear with them as the printing quality might be slightly affected during the installation period.

“We are doing this to provide better service to our valued readers.

“And because of the additional line with the newer version of printing machines, there will be more automation. This will result in higher quality printing and we will be able to produce more colour pages.

“To speed up the installation, we are working round-the-clock to ensure it can be completed by end of April, and by early May we will have the new line running,” Lau said when inspecting the installation of the new printing line. The investment covers the full printing line, including six colour towers Goss printing machines with two folders and six auto splicers.

He said the putting in place of the new printing line took into consideration the printing volume and time.

“We source the line that is suitable for our printing requirement.”

Lau noted that the print media is still in demand despite stiff competition from online social media, e-paper and online portals, as far as this region is concerned.
