KKJA advisors invited to CNY luncheon

KOTA KINABALU: KTS Sabah area general operations manager Ngu Ngiong Hieng, Sabah Publishing House Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Clement Yeh and Asia Times proprietor Datuk Tiong Tan Hua have been invited to the annual Chinese New Year luncheon organized by the Kota Kinabalu Journalist­s Associatio­n (KKJA).

KKJA chairman Yong Ted Phen and organizing chairman Jimmy Goh led the committee to call on Ngu, Yeh and Tiong here, who are all advisors of the associatio­n.

The luncheon will be held at Hakka Hall on February 21 starting 11.30am.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Aman will grace the event to celebrate the Chinese New Year with KKJA honorary advisors, advisors, sponsors, members and their families.

KKJA members are advised to come early for the Lucky Ang Pow session, where they stand a chance to receive either RM100, RM50 or RM10. A total of 100 ang pows are prepared for the members, which will be given away on a first-come-first served basis.

The Lucky Ang Pow session will close at 12.30pm at the arrival of the Chief Minister.

Present at the courtesy calls were KKJA deputy chairman Situl Mintow, vice chairmen Kwan Sui Wan and Leopold Santos, secretary Chuah Kim Huat, assistant secretary Lester Joseph Bingkasan, treasurer Tang Pok Ngai, liaison officer Nancy Lai, training officer Fung Ngee Chung, welfare officer James Tseu and committee member Suraidah Roslan.
