KUALA LUMPUR: Women entrepreneurs will give their input to the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) policy at the three-day Women Entrepreneurs Convention and Expo (Konvenita) 2017, here, from Friday.

Malaysia Bumiputera Women Entrepreneurs Association (Usahanita) president, Datuk Faridah A. Jabbar said the inaugural convention would discuss competition, market access, business networking and training needed by young women for the next 30 years.

“The Konvenita 2017 will be the best place for women entrepreneurs to find out the requirements of the businesses in 2050 to ensure their continued involvement in the field.

“The convention will also act as a catalyst and to fire up the determination of women to continue competing in their respective entreprenuership fields,” she said, here, yesterday.

Other than being a platform for discussing TN50, the convention which will be held at a shopping centre here will have more than 15 panel members from numerous sectors such as economy, marketing, automotive, and beauty and fashion for the sharing of business tips.

Faridah said the programme, which would be held in conjunction with International Women's Day on March 8, was also aimed at empowering and promoting the products of 500 micro entrepreneurs, who are members of Usahanita.

She said the convention would also enable visitors to criticise products through the food commentary activity to help entrepreneurs improve on the quality and taste of their respective products.

Some 40,000 visitors are expected at the convention which will held from 9am to 10pm during the three days.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan is expected to officially open the convention on Saturday.
