Umno’s information machinery told to highlight successes

SHAH ALAM: Umno's information machinery has been asked to highlight the excellent track record of the country's leadership in running the government and managing the economy to win over the people.

Umno information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa said this was necessary so that the machinery does not get bogged down in rhetorics and “firefighting” issues purposely raised by the opposition. He said that Umno, as the backbone of the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition, must capitalise on its proven track record in the economic sector, bumiputera empowerment and other matters to show that the party and the BN were the best choice for the people.

“Don't get caught up in the opposition's games. We must be proud of the numerous successes the country has attained under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak who is also the president of Umno.
