Pos Malaysia to invest RM10 mln for EziBoxes

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Pos Malaysia Bhd has set aside RM10 million to install 100 automated smart lockers or EziBoxes, at selected Petronas stations , under the second phase of the project.

The Eziboxes would allow customers, particularly motorists, to deliver and collect goods 24 hours everyday.

Pos Malaysia Chief Executive Officer Datuk Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh said the national courier company had already installed 50 Eziboxes out of 60 boxes planned, under the first phase of the project costing RM7.2 million.

“Another 10 EziBoxes are expected to be available at Petronas stations next week,” he told reporters after the roll out of the 50th Pos Laju EziBox at the Petronas station in Jalan Kolam Air Lama here yesterday.

“We are aware of the woes faced by customers in collecting their items or parcels at Pos Laju collection centres.

“Thus, the conceptualisation of the Pos Laju EziBoxes is to provide ease and convenience to our customers, as well as, under secured environment,” he added. — Bernama
