CGC hosts dinner for residents, management
KOTA KINABALU: Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad (CGC) hosted a dinner for residents and management of the Sabah Cheshire Home here on Friday.
The dinner was held in conjunction with Pesta Kaamatan and also part of CGC’s corporate social responsibility (CSR), its chief operations officer Nazleena Nordin said.
CGC also donated RM10,000 in cash as well as some hampers to Sabah Cheshire Home which is a non-profit and charitable organization that provides care for individuals with disabilities to help them live independently.
“We are delighted to share the joy of the festival with the residents of Sabah Cheshire Home. This program is one of our many initiatives in contributing and providing financial and moral support to the special members of the society especially during the festive season,” Nazleena said.
She said CGC understands the significance of festivals celebrated by the various ethnic groups in the country.
“This time of the year we are reaching out to the community in Kota Kinabalu and we hope that our humble contribution will not only ease their financial burden but also give them hope, cheer and happiness during this joyous occasion,” she added.
Meanwhile Sabah Cheshire Home’s manager Jenifer Liew expressed her appreciation to CGC for its generosity in hosting the dinner and donating to support the home’s daily operation need.
“Every contribution makes a difference to our residents as they strive to lead a normal life within society,” she said.
