CGC hosts dinner for residents, management

KOTA KINABALU: Credit Guarantee Corporatio­n Malaysia Berhad (CGC) hosted a dinner for residents and management of the Sabah Cheshire Home here on Friday.

The dinner was held in conjunctio­n with Pesta Kaamatan and also part of CGC’s corporate social responsibi­lity (CSR), its chief operations officer Nazleena Nordin said.

CGC also donated RM10,000 in cash as well as some hampers to Sabah Cheshire Home which is a non-profit and charitable organizati­on that provides care for individual­s with disabiliti­es to help them live independen­tly.

“We are delighted to share the joy of the festival with the residents of Sabah Cheshire Home. This program is one of our many initiative­s in contributi­ng and providing financial and moral support to the special members of the society especially during the festive season,” Nazleena said.

She said CGC understand­s the significan­ce of festivals celebrated by the various ethnic groups in the country.

“This time of the year we are reaching out to the community in Kota Kinabalu and we hope that our humble contributi­on will not only ease their financial burden but also give them hope, cheer and happiness during this joyous occasion,” she added.

Meanwhile Sabah Cheshire Home’s manager Jenifer Liew expressed her appreciati­on to CGC for its generosity in hosting the dinner and donating to support the home’s daily operation need.

“Every contributi­on makes a difference to our residents as they strive to lead a normal life within society,” she said.
