Zhou Xun, Archie Kao said to be heading for divorce
TAIPEI: Three years after a shotgun wedding, actors Archie Kao, 48, and Zhou Xun, 43, are reported to heading for a divorce.
Their marital life has been dogged by persistent rumours of infidelity.
Archie is currently in Taiwan for the filming of the drama My Dear Boy, which co-stars Ruby Lin.
During an unusually frank press conference, Archie had indicated that he had been banned from talking about his wife.
When reporters asked if Zhou Xun would visit him on the set in Taipei, Archie replied brusquely: “Not sure.”
A showbiz magazine which has been investigating the matter has reported that Archie and Zhou have been living separately for some time, and that divorce proceedings have begun. Confirming this disclosure was an A-lister who is a very close pal of Zhou.
It has also emerged that Archie has severed ties with Zhou Xun’s personal studio, which has been managing his projects in the Asian region for the past three years.
A personal manager is now managing his Asian projects.
Speculations on the divorce proceedings have been reported on as early as last October.
Despite the reports, Archie has been steadfast in denying that they are heading for a divorce. He even disclosed that they continue to call each other daily.
Zhou has made no comments on the alleged rift between them.
In July 2014, she had surprised everyone by unexpectedly turning a charity concert in Hangzhou into her wedding ceremony .
She went on to exchange vows and rings with Archie, who is best known for his role as an audiovisual lab technician in the US drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Hangzhou is the headquarters of the online marketplace Alibaba – and it now appears that their marriage is up for auction.
