Big Bang’s G-Dragon is suddenly slimmer

-

SEOUL: Tongues are wagging furiously after Big Bang leader G-Dragon appeared drastically slimmer all of a sudden when he showed up for Chanel’s ‘Mademoiselle Privé’ Exhibition in Seoul.

Fans are anxious about his appearance because earlier this month, band member T.O.P brushed with death after overdosing on tranquillisers. T.O.P survived, but now attention is shifting towards a pallid-looking G-Dragon.

Less than a year ago, during the Gaon Chart Music Awards, G-Dragon had the sheen of robustness.

“He looks sick,” one fan stated. “He’s so underweight,” another observed.

Others questioned if he is suffering from anorexia, or simply not eating regularly on tour. “He must’ve lost weight from his solo tour,” another fan commented. “Please eat well.”

Meanwhile, there has been no word on the latest condition of T.O.P, but from top to bottom, Big Bang is looking like it’s fizzling out with a whimper.

Despite challenges, G-Dragon is still making it big on the charts.

He has remained at the top of Billboard’s World Albums chart for the second week.

Citing the latest sales figures compiled by Nielsen Music, Billboard reported that GDragon’s latest EP album Kwon Ji Yong ruled the World Albums chart for the second week in a row.

According to Billboard, Kwon Ji Yong sold 3,000 additional copies for the week ending June 15, pushing the EP’s cumulative total for the two weeks to just over 7,000 copies.

“The achievement makes him the first solo K-pop artiste and second K-pop act overall to have an album spend multiple weeks at No. 1 on the chart,” Billboard reported. Only BTS has logged multiple weeks atop the World Albums chart among K-pop acts.

Upon release on June 8, GDragon’s latest work conquered Apple’s iTunes album charts in 39 countries.

Meanwhile, Big Bang’s Fantastic Baby has logged more than 300 million views on YouTube, becoming the most watched music video by a K-pop group to date, according to publicists at YG Entertainment.
