PBS a disappointment to Sabahans — Pakar

-

TUARAN: Parti Kerjasama Rakyat Sabah (Pakar) information chief Paulus Gani said Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) is a disappointment to the people of Sabah and accused its acting president, Datuk Dr Maximus Ongkili of being arrogant for making unfounded accusation against opposition leaders.

Paulus said Maximus had forgotten his roots and the fact he was an opposition leader himself for many years before rejoining the Barisan Nasional (BN) in 2002.

He advised Maximus to look in the mirror to reflect on himself before accusing opposition leaders of making empty promises.

Paulus said the truth is PBS has been raising the same old issues and issuing the same old promises every time election is held but for the last 15 years since rejoining BN, the party has done and delivered nothing.

He said PBS supporters have grown tired of the party’s empty promises and expressed confidence that voters would reject PBS in the next general election.

Paulus said this in a press statement when responding to an earlier press statement quoting Maximus urging voters to reject the opposition ‘medicine’.

During a meet-the-people session at Kampung Sungoi Lama in Kota Marudu last week, Maximus urged constituents not to be tricked by the opposition’s empty promises.

He said of late, these seasonal politicians had been seen making their rounds to villages with the intention to win the people’s hearts.

The Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister said the seasonal politicians were trying to sell their ‘medicines’ and confused the people by offering empty promises.
