Fitness warming-up session for 7K Charity Run today

KOTA KINABALU: The 17th Sutera Harbour 7K Charity Run will begin with a fitness warmingup session led by Michelle Koh at 4pm today before the flag-off at 5.17pm at the Covered Tennis Court, Sutera Harbour Marina & Country Club.

Members of the public are reminded of the road closure from 4.45pm to 6.45pm and will involve the roads going in and out of Sutera Harbour Resort, Coastal Highway towards Kota Kinabalu after the traffic lights at Sutera Harbour Resort, as well as the roads along the Imago Link Bridge.

No prizes will be awarded to the fastest runner, however, there will be attractive prizes for the lucky runners, which will be announced during the 7K Post Run Concert, back at the Covered Tennis Court.

Come and check out the many sponsors’ booths including 100Plus and VICO offering free drinks on first come first serve basis. There are also many food and beverages stalls including Chong Burger, Hill Hobbies & Toys, Kalawon, Kitchen Express, Rose Food & Drinks, Kak Scha, Juice Bro and games stalls by Oriental Systems.

Emceeing the event that day DJs from Astro Radio Sabah Mad Sabah & Adnan (ERA FM), Peter (MY FM) and Keith (Hitz FM). The other Astro Radio DJs will be running with the respective winners from the 7K radio contest. Leading the teams are Jay Jay & Lopz for Team ERA, Team MY - Natasha and for Team Hitz is Farhan.

Do not miss out special performanc­e by Lemon Lights - a group of five young talents Naqaie, Surianto, Affentos, Mohd Shafiq, Nathan Jay and Maulana who got together to especially perform on the 7K Stage this year.

There will also be special performanc­es by local talents including Poseidon Band, Lemon Light Bands, Grandcious Dance Crew as well as Sabryna Uzair from SM Convent St Francis and Izzahrania Nadzirah from KK High School who will be performing together.

Sponsoring the 17th Sutera Harbour 7K Charity Run are Sports Toto, Jesselton Medical Centre, Sounds Tech Production and Suria Sabah as the contributi­ng sponsors; Ultron as the official apparel; 100Plus as the official drink; Astro Radio Sabah as the offical radio station, while supporting the 7K Run are the the Ministry of Youth and Sports Sabah, Kota Kinabalu City Hall and the Federal Youth and Sports Department in Sabah.
