Jolianis wins Kiulu Raya Golf Tournament

KOTA KINABALU: Jolianis Lampong was crowned the winner in the Kiulu Raya Golf Tournament, which ended at the Sutera Harbour Golf and Country Club (SHGCC) here recently.

A nett score of 72 allowed Jolianus, who is also Kiulu Golf president, to beat four players On Countback (OCB).

Maximillian Jr. Boijol finished second followed by Jacklin Johannes, Tommie Philip Lajawai and Jenius Jipanin.

Dominic Minsi was sixth after OCB, edging Joachim Gaban into seventh place of the Overall Nett category after both played 73s.

In the Overall Gross Category, Lee Siaw Chung won with a score of 81 followed by Johnny Kim Seng in second place with 82 and Harry Beatty in third place with 83.

The tournament, which was also participated by members from the Braggers Golf and Fun Golf received sponsorship from the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and acting UPKO president Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Madius Tangau.

MOSTI political secretary Joisin Romut presented the prizes to the winners. Also present were Sabah Golf Association (SGA) vice president Maximillian Jr. Boijol, SHGCC (Golf) Sales Manager Suzan George and the Fun Club captain Peter Koh.

Joisin, in his speech, expressed thanks to all who had made the tournament a success.
