KUALA LUMPUR: Super League leaders Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) continued their reign at the top of the table after beating Sarawak 3-1 at the Tan Sri Datuk Hassan Yunos Stadium in Johor Bahru Saturday night, taking their tally to 39 points 11 clear of secondplac­ed Kedah.

Mohammad Ghaddar emerged hero for the Southern Tigers, scoring in the 11th and 15th minute, with Muhd Safawi Rasid, adding the third in the 77th minute to take all three points, while Sarawak’s only goal was scored by Mohd Sahil Suhaimi in the 63rd minute.

At the Darul Aman Stadium in Alor Setar, Kedah had to share the spoils with Selangor after a 1-1 draw. However, they remained second in the league with a one point advantage over third-placed Pahang.

The Red Eagles’s goal was contribute­d by Danish forward Ken Ilso Larsen in the 16th minute while the Red Giant’s equaliser was produced by S. Veenod in the 29th minute.

Meanwhile, Felda United ran riot, thrashing T-Team 5-1 at the Tuanku Abdul Razak Stadium in Jengka, Pahang.

The Fighters’ goals were contribute­d by Wan Zack Haikal Wan Nor (23rd minute) a hat-trick by Thiago Agusto (46th, 58th & 78th minute) and Ifedayo Olesugun (88th minute) while The Titans’ consolatio­n goal was scored by Joseph Yannick in the 41st minute.

Meanwhile, Kelantan failed to take advantage of playing at home after losing 0-2 to Perak at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu.

The visitors’ goals came from Mohd Nazrin Nawi in the 28th minute and prolific Palestinia­n striker Yashir Pinto in the 80th minute.

At the Shah Alam Stadium, Pahang beat PKNS FC 3-1 to claim all three points.

Dollah Salleh’s men opened the scoring in the 36th minute via Sumareh Mohamadou before striker Matheus Alves put in two more in the 62nd and 71st minute, while PKNS’s goal was scored by Muhammad Aliff Haikal (82nd minute).

In the meantime, bottom team Penang received some respite as they registered their second victory of the season with a 3-2 win over Melaka at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka.

The Black Panthers’ goals were scored by Mohd Faiz Subri in the fifth minute, Mark Andrew Hartmann (54th minute) and S. Kumaahran (61st minute) while Marko Simic scored a brace for the Mousedeers in the 35th and 88th minute. Bernama
