Joint installati­on of six Lions Clubs

TAWAU: All members of the Lions Clubs Internatio­nal have been strongly urged to serve the community with love, care, kindness and with a harmonious heart for the sake of ‘Lionism’ and Teamwork empowermen­t.

District 308-A2 Governor (2017/2018) of Lions Internatio­nal, Pelly Lee hoped the members of Lions Clubs could serve as a united team and provide better service to those in need or assistance in our community; as teamwork will lead to the ‘Power of We’.

With the ‘Power of We’ and continuous efforts in serving with dignity and glowing through persistenc­e, Pelly believed they can grow and bring the District 308-A2 to a greater height.

She was speaking during the joint installati­on of the Lions Club of Tawau Host, Lions Club of Tawau Cosmo, Lions Club of Tawau Central, Lions Club of Tawau Mandarin, Lions Club of Tawau Mega and Lions Club of Lahad Datu Mandarin at a hotel here on July 15.

“I will be looking forward to all of your full commitment and support and likewise, as your District Governor, I will do my best to assist wherever necessary,” Pelly added.

Meanwhile, presiding officer Willis Lim disclosed that this gathering was not only about swearing in the Board of Directors for the next fiscal year, but it is also a time for them to reflect on the past year¡¯s contributi­ons and to recognize Lion Leaders for their past achievemen­ts.
