BDB enters Perak market with RM44 million project

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Kedah-based property developer, Bina Darulaman Bhd (BDB), is developing a luxury housing project in Kuala Kangsar, Perak, with a gross development value of RM44 million.

To be developed by its subsidiary, Kedah Holdings Sdn Bhd, the Puncak Harmoni housing project launched yesterday will comprise 84 residential units sprawled over 3.4 hectares of land.

The development is scheduled for completion within 24 months.

BDB managing director Datuk Izham Yusoff said the housing project showed the company's confidence in planning developments outside of Kedah, especially in Kuala Kangsar, although most housing projects in Perak focused on areas around the Kinta Valley.

“We chose Kuala Kangsar as its land prices and houses are still within the affordable range, and we have also adopted a different approach by looking at new areas with development potential,” he said in a statement yesterday.

The Puncak Harmoni residential development offers doublestorey terrace houses, doublestorey semi-detached houses and double-storey bungalows, priced from RM426,580.

Izham said BDB also planned to collaborate with the state and federal government to develop more affordable housing projects in Perak.

“We do not intend for Puncak Harmoni to be our sole project in Perak...there may be some other housing projects to come which can be carried out in other areas within the state,” he added.
