KOTA KINABALU: The 17th Palliative Care Association Annual Charity Dinner and Show will feature the original line-up, Sheyla Bonnick.
She, along with her band members from the UK, will be performing this Friday, July 21 at 7.30 pm at the Grand Ballroom Magellan, Sutera Harbour Resort.
The association revealed this in a statement in conjunction with a recent courtesy on Mayor Datuk Yeo Boon Hai to invite the latter to attend the event themed ‘A Moment of Love’ featuring the Boney M Tribute Show.
The Palliative Care Association of Kota Kinabalu (PCAKK) president, Morna Chua, who led the visitors, briefed Yeo on the Home Care Program which provides seamless care for patients who are suffering from cancer and end stage organ failure.
This program aims to ease the burden of patients and their family by providing home care visits by PCAKK’s trained nurses, in addition to equipping the patients with medical equipment and palliative support.
The mayor was also briefed on the need for PCAKK’s annual fund-raising activities owing to the need for increased funds due to rising expenditures from the increased reach of the home care program, servicing not only urban but also rural areas such as Tuaran.
Yeo, upon conclusion of the courtesy call, expressed his appreciation for the dedication and commitment that PCAKK has shown to the community over the years.
