Youth denies retaining stolen motorcycle

KOTA KINABALU: A 23year-old man claimed trial at the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday after being charged with retaining a stolen motorcycle.

Hafizuddin Abdul Harun, who was brought before magistrate Cindy Mc Juce Balitus, was charged under Section 411 of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of up to five years and is also liable to a fine, on conviction.

He was alleged to have committed the offence at a basement of an apartment in Putatan on May 28.

The court fixed August 24 this year for case management and released the accused on RM4,000 bail in two local sureties, pending disposal of the case.
