BN leaders always around to help – Musa

-

SANDAKAN: Barisan Nasional leaders are not leaders that come and go like seasons, but are leaders who stay and are always around to help the people, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Aman here yesterday.

“We are not seasonal leaders. We always work for the Rakyat, unlike the Opposition who only appear when election is coming. This is our (BN) way (of working),” he said during a meet-the-people programme at Rancangan Sungai Manila organised by UMNO Libaran at Taman Cahaya hall, Pekan Muhibbah, Mile 12 here.

“We want the people to know, when they support us, we will do our best to do our responsibilities.

“We know, there are still roads that are not built. I have told Sandakan Municipal Council which parts of the district need to be fixed, but it will be done one by one.

“Same goes with water and electricity. There were areas (here) without roads, electricity and water supply, but now they do.

“Our plan is to develop Pekan Muhibbah. We wanted to build Kemas (Community Development Department) building but the previous minister had blocked this plan. Hopefully, the minister would now make it happen,” he said.

Musa said the Government had developed the oil and gas industry in Sipitang which contributed to the development of Sabah.

Meanwhile, Musa gave 23 wheelchairs to the locals who needed the facility, received on behalf of the recipients by Umno branch’s chairman of Rancangan Sungai Luboh, Hassan bin Kibing.

Among those present were Assistant Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Zakaria Edris, Sandakan Municipal Council secretary Jefri Haji Aman, Sabah Umno Wanita chief Datuk Hajah Armani Haji Mahiruddin and People Development Officer of Sungai Sibuga Datuk Haji Salzo Haji As.
