Come up with facts, Musa tells opposition

-

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman yesterday asked members of the opposition to come up with facts and not base their findings on hearsay when raising an issue at the State Legislative Assembly.

He told reporters after the end of the State Assembly sitting yesterday that he felt disappointed that some of the opposition members exploited or twisted the facts of explanations given.

"They don't seem to accept our explanation and make assumptions that are wrong. This is not gentleman. We explain what the government has done. We do not hide. I told them we got nothing to hide and nothing to worry. What we are doing now is for the good of the people in terms of our reforestation and Sejahtera mini estate and our tourism. These are proven facts that show the government is doing a good job," he said.

He also said that the government constantly goes down to the grassroots to learn about the problems faced by the district.

"We have done this throughout Sabah. After completing the job, we start all over again," he said.

Nevertheless, Musa said that the entire meeting had been alright and that no untoward incident transpired.

"We don't know if the opposition was happy but what is important is that the people are able to see that we are working and they continue to benefit from the developments that are taking place in Sabah," he said.
