Three selected as vocational college ambassadors
KENINGAU: Three lecturers from Keningau Vocational College were selected as vocational college ambassadors, representing Malaysia to South Korea, India and France.
They are Mohd Sirhajwan Idek, Ibrahim Ismail and Mohd AlKhalifa Mohd Affnan, who are English lecturers at this college.
Sirhajwan was the top 10 finalist of the 2017 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Excellence in Teaching Award at the European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Paris, France. He will be in France from September 18 to September 25.
Ibrahim was selected by the Indian government for the certificate course in Accent Neutralization, IT and Networking Skills program at the National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT), New Delhi. He will be in India from September 25 to November 17.
Al-Khalifa was selected to the Korea Malaysia Teachers Exchange Program sponsored by the South Korean Ministry of Education, where he will be at Seoul Technical High School. He will be in South Korea from September 9 to December10.
The Jalur Gemilang (Malaysian flag) was handed to them to bring abroad and was conducted at the college here yesterday by deputy director of BPTV, Hajah Latifah Mohd Isa, in conjunction with her working visit with three other BPTV officers to this college.
Sirhajwan, Ibrahim and AlKhalifa are among the eight vocational college lecturers throughout the country chosen to bring Malaysia to Korea, India and France.
Latifah congratulated the management of Keningau Vocational College for its leadership and management excellence.
She said the selection of the three lecturers from the college would raise the name of the college as well as their excellent performance.
Keningau Vocational College director Johari Jaibet Sabin said the three lecturers could give a boost to the college citizens to continue to excel in their career and life.
He said their successes were due to not giving up on the challenges they faced.
