BV wine pairs perfectly with Friday dinner theme at Hilton KK

KOTA KINABALU: Friday Grills theme dinner is now enchanting patrons at Urban Kitchen with its variety of grilled meats, seafood and vegetables, adding more value to the lavish line-up of Urban Kitchen’s dinner buffet selections.

Aptly named, the offer is available on Fridays at RM128 nett per adult and features alltime favourites of grilled ring sausages, lamb chops, prawns, mussels, squids and corns, among others, in the Western section while the carving station is accentuate­d by the main attraction of roasted whole lamb to be paired with the chef ’s own recipe of mint sauce.

Other selection in the station includes roasted beef or grilled beef ribs that are best enjoyed with Yorkshire pudding and rich onion gravy, and roasted potatoes or carrots.

Complement­ing the theme buffet are the BV, or short for Beaulieu Vineyard, Prestige Collection wines from the United States that is setting the standard for rich, classic California­n wines that reflect the state’s diverse terroir, varietal character and showcases their very own winemaking style.

Experience the 2015 California Cabernet Sauvignon, with deep, rich flavours full of dark fruit enriched by layers of oak spices. A bramble of ripe blackberri­es and dark cherries are accented by hints of cocoa and spice, and its smooth, juicy tannins lead to a long and velvety finish.

The 2015 California Chardonnay delivers the perfect combinatio­n of pear, apple and ripe tropical fruit flavours woven together with tasty oak spices. Hints of citrus and a round mouthfeel finish out the palate, evolving in layers of pineapple, red apple and vanilla.

Offering an accessible combinatio­n of fruit and spices is the 2015 California Merlot that greets the nose with a lovely red fruit aromas complement­ed by peppery oak notes. The palate is lively and bright, brimming with ripe plum and juicy black cherry flavours. Hints of coffee and toasty oak spices join the chewy tannins through the long satisfying finish.

The Urban Kitchen is open daily for breakfast at RM79 nett per adult, ala carte lunch from Monday until Saturday and weekend brunch buffet on Sundays at RM128 nett per adult. The daily buffet dinner is RM118 per adult from Sunday until Thursday and RM128 net per person on Friday and Saturday for the Friday Grills and Seafood Night theme buffet dining.

For reservatio­ns made before August 31, a party of three or below enjoy a 15% discount for dining between 8:30pm until 9:30pm in the Happy Hour offer while the One On Us offer entitles the fourth party eat for free.

Especially for Hilton Honors members, enjoy 500 Bonus Points with a minimum spending of RM120 in a single receipt or up to 2,500 Bonus Points with a spending of more than RM570.
