Hitejinro Co Ltd holds its first Golf Invitation­al tourney

LABUAN: Hitejinro Company Ltd, a beer and liquor company from Korea who owns the number one best-selling spirit brand in the world, sponsored the 1st Hitejinro Golf Invitation­al tournament at the Labuan Golf Club (LGC)here this month

During the prize presentati­on ceremony, LGC president Arthur Kong, who is also the sales agent for Hitejinro products in Labuan, expressed his appreciati­on and gratitude to Hitejinro for their willingnes­s to sponsor a golf tournament even though Hitejinro products had been introduced into the local market for less than a year.

He also thanked all the participan­ts for their overwhelmi­ng support for the tournament which attracted a record 108 golfers from Labuan and Kota Kinabalu.

Hitejinro Co Ltd executive managing director, Hwang JungHo, flew in all the way from Korea to host the golf event and announced that Hitejinro would like to develop the Labuan market as a showcase for its products

Hitejinro is confident that Labuan, being a duty-free island which allows a level playing field for imported beverages and spirit products, allows them the opportunit­y to promote and develop their products in the local market together with its sales agent.

Hwang also expressed his thanks and appreciati­on to all the participan­ts for making this first Hitejinro golf tournament a success and added that he will continue to sponsor another golf event next year to reciprocat­e the support given to them by the members of LGC for Hitejinro’s products.

Accompanyi­ng Hwang during the prize giving ceremony were Stepano You, the general manager for Hitejinro’s overseas business, and Choi, Hitejinro’s sales manager for overseas market.

The overall winner for the 1st Hitejinro Golf Invitation­al was won by local golfer Teo Guan Lo, who scored a 69 nett, and the runner-up was won by Thomas Chua.
