Funding business start-ups through equity crowdfunding

-

KOTA KINABALU: Entrepreneurs seeking funding for their startups now have another place to go: Ata Plus.

Organised by Midana Capital Inc and supported by PUMM Sabah Chapter and G&A Group, Ata Plus was in GASpace, here on Sunday night to introduce the Equity Crowdfunding online platform, one of Malaysia’s first of its kind. Ata Plus is also the world’s first blockchain enhanced Equity Crowdfunding online platform, matching businesses who are seeking growth and funding with investors who want to partner in building sustainable world class companies.

Its co-founder and director Elaine Lockman explained that entrepreneurs who are keen to start a business can now pitch their ideas through Ata Plus. It is now easier for individuals to raise money for projects they are passionate about, and this is the latest way in helping entrepreneurs access the financing they need while also giving backers the chance to invest in new companies.

Also in attendance were Midana Capital Inc’s General Partner, Chris Tan and G&A Group’s cofounder and CEO Dato’ George Lim. Midana Capital is Asia Pacific’s Lead Investing Venture Capital firm which invests in growth-stage companies.

Ata Plus and Midana Capital are currently on a roadshow across the nation, thanks to George, who is also PUMM Sabah Liaison Chairman who initiated to bring the talk to Sabah. Local entrepreneurs are now aware of the online platform. Interested entrepreneurs may log on to www.ata-plus.com for further information and make your pitch.
