New Foton View C2 Window Van launched in Sandakan
SANDAKAN: The diesel variant of the new Foton View C2 Window Van was yesterday launched here by its exclusive distributor and marketer for Chinese Commercial Automotive marque Foton Motor Group (FMG) in Malaysia, Berjaya China Motor (BCM) Sdn Bhd and BCM’s sole representative in Sabah, Universal Motor Sdn Bhd.
The new model will complement the current Foton View C2 petrol model to offer greater flexibility and convenience for customers looking for reliable, highly-efficient and affordable transport.
The diesel variant of the new Foton View C2 Window Van is powered by a 2.8 litre turbo diesel engine supported by Japanese engineered technology. Paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, the power plant produces a total output of 70kw @3,600 rpm with a maximum torque of 225Nm @2,300 rpm. The engine, fitted with a Bosch high pressure common rail system, supercharged inter-cooler and electronic control EGR (exhaust gas recirculation), which is compliant with EURO 4 emission standards, will offer customers proven environmental friendly performance, reliability and high-efficiency, which translates to lower operating costs.
Similarly, the View C2 petrol variant is also equipped with Japanese engineered 2.0 litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, which outputs 95Kw @5,000 rpm with 193Nm of torque @3,200-4,500rpm and is also paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The DOHC, 16valve engine adopts an advanced low emission air passage and combustion chamber technique with a continuously variable valve timing (CVVT) mechanism and optimized intake and exhaust system design. The availability of both the diesel and petrol engine variants is also set to offer greater flexibility for customers in servicing their transportation needs.
BCM is offering the View C2 model in both High Roof Window Van and Standard Roof Panel Van configurations for a wide range of transport applications. Both designs are available as a 10-seater passenger window van as well as a 2seater van in cargo form, measuring 4,840 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width and riding on a 2,570 mm wheelbase.
The High Roof Van measures a height of 2,240 mm for ample headroom with 1,980 mm on offer for the Standard Roof Panel Van.
Since its arrival on Malaysian shores, the View C2 has struck a chord with enterprises, public agencies and individual customers. The View C2 Diesel is available now at all BCM dealers across Malaysia from RM98,115.60 (individual private) and RM98,315.60 (company private) respectively. The View C2 Petrol is priced from RM87,741.20 (individual private) and RM87,941.20 (company private). Prices listed are On-The-Road without Insurance, inclusive of GST. Each model is backed by a 5 year or 150,000 km warranty (whichever comes first).
Presently, BCM operates a network of 31 sales dealers with 62 service dealer across the country, and is also covered by a 24-hour hotline operated by Berjaya Sompo Breakdown Service.
Alongside the View C2, BCM also boasts the Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) certified 14seater View C2 Diesel High Roof Window Van, which is powered by a 2.8 litre Cummins turbocharged diesel engine, within its product portfolio.
