Sung Siew Secondary School 1975 alumni visit Kudat

-

KUDAT: A group of 37 former classmates from Sung Siew Secondary School class of 1975 and their families made their annual reunion trip to Kudat on September 2 and 3.

The group travelled in a convoy of 10 vehicles from Kota Kinabalu from 8.30am, making their first stop at Sumangkap Traditional Gong Making Village in Matunggong and followed by a visit to KPD Honey Bee Farm at Sikuati.

In the evening, they visited the famous Tip of Borneo at Tanjung Simpang Mengayau to view the magnificent sunset and alluring beach.

After an enjoyable dinner and a stay overnight in a local hotel, they visited the Kudat vegetable and fish market the next morning.

The group was led by organizing chairlady, Juliana Poon Sui Fong and assisted by Christopher Lo Foh Nyuk, who is a Kudat homeboy who guided the group in and around Kudat town and its many kampongs.

Coincidently, the old students also met their former teacher, Ronnie Khoo who happened to visit the Tip of Borneo that evening with his family.

Fond memories during the good old school days were reminisced between the former teacher and the students. Khoo commended the group for organizing such a reunion and the continued fellowship after leaving school for more than 40 years despite drifting apart and having their life paths taken in different directions.

He was also pleased to see that most of the old students had emerged victorious in their living and some achieved much more.

Everyone enjoyed the reunion especially for some classmates who were meeting for the first time after 42 years. The event ended on a happy note that all will keep in touch to continue strengthening their friendship bond.
