TAWAU: Application for the 1,300 lots of 1Malaysia People’s Housing (Prima) project at Ranggu will be held during the opening day event from October 22 to 24 at the Belmont Marco Polo Hotel .

The project’s main contractor, Larry Koh @ Rahim Abdullah, said those interested to apply for the houses have to bring their relevant documents for credit check purposes and upon approval, they could participate in the lot selection process.

Koh said the project, which started in November 2016, is scheduled to be completed in two years’ time and he assured that the project will meet the deadline as planned with the application of innovative method in the construction works of the 1,300 units of houses.

He said the method called ‘Aluminium System Form Work’ is the first used in the state, which used only concrete on all walls.

The method is more expensive compared to bricks in terms of cost but could be done faster and ensure a stronger wall for all houses in the project.

Koh said the housing estate, which is located about 15 kilometres from the town centre, would also be linked by a paved road to Bandar Sri Indah, which is just 390 meters away.

There are three types of houses divided into Design A, B and C. Design A has a 1,000 square feet build-up area, B (900 square feet) and C (1,400 square feet).

He added that there would be 10 shophouses, a kindergarten, a mosque and a multi-purpose hall within the housing estate.
