Tawau social activist affirms his neutrality in politics

-

TAWAU: A social activist, Datuk Chin Chee Syn, has found it necessary to clarify that politically, he has remained neutral and is not a member of any political party, be it the Barisan Nasional (BN) or the various opposition parties (OP), in view of some propaganda spreading that he is a member of four to five political parties.

However, despite his neutral stand, Chin said, he will continue to put them under his firing line if they, BN or OP, failed to serve the people well. Despite the constraints, he said, he will never give up or stop from ‘bombarding’ them, so that the people’s problems can be resolved.

Chin, who remains a free agent, said, he is willing to lend his hands to those who are having problems and try to resolve the people’s problem as best as he could.

Chin said this while officiating at the 19th World Senior Citizens Day cum Senior Citizens Singing Competition of the Tawau Senior Citizens Association held at the Sin Onn hall here recently.

During the event that night, a birthday celebration for members born in the month of May-August was also held. Also present at the event were the elderly inmates of Hot Spring Old Folks Home.

Chin said, he is happy to note that all members of the Tawau Senior Citizens Association are in united in harmony and cooperating with each others for the betterment of the association. He also called on the younger generation to always respect their elders.

Chin extended his congratulations to the winners of the singing competition and urged those who did not win not to give up but try again in the next singing competition.
