Trespasser jailed two years

KOTA KINABALU: A man was sentenced to 24 months jail by the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday for trespassing into the shop of a woman.

Hamzah Tamin Wong, 37, who appeared before magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie, admitted to breaking into the premises of the woman at Kampung Warisan in Inanam on August 30.

The unrepresented accused was convicted under Section 448 of the Penal Code which provides for a jail term of up to three years or a fine or both, upon conviction.
