KOTA KINABALU: The Borneo Football Cup returns with six exciting categories featuring teams and players from outside the country.
The annual tournament enters its 10th edition this year with competing teams from Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and India.
The event kicks off with the Under-11 competition which would be held at the Penampang Stadium today and tomorrow. Matches for the final day would be held at the Likas Stadium.
The Under-12 competition starts on September 26 at the Penampang Stadium, followed by the Under-13 category on September 28.
The Under-14 tournament will be on October 1, while the Under-15 and Under-16 competitions start on October 3 and 5 respectively.
The organiser of the tournament, Scott Ollerenshaw from Borneo Sports and Adventure Holidays said this year's tournament will be dedicated to the late Les Murray and Mike Cockeril.
