145 dengue cases in La­had Datu this year

LA­HAD DATU: A to­tal of 145 dengue cases were recorded in this district since Jan­uary to Oc­to­ber, this year.

Chair­man of La­had Datu Health Com­mit­tee, Stan­ley Chin Yat Min dis­closed that two last cases were re­ported at Palm Heights and Jalan Pin­tas Ke­nan­gan ar­eas.

Stan­ley said the district health com­mit­tee with other re­lated agen­cies were im­ple­ment­ing var­i­ous ef­forts to curb the dengue cases.

“The ef­forts, in­clud­ing or­ga­niz­ing ‘Go­tong Roy­ong’ pro­grammes, to clean the ar­eas and elim­i­nate the mos­quito breed­ing grounds,” he said.

Stan­ley also ad­vised the pub­lic to in­crease hy­gienic care in their re­spec­tive ar­eas to pre­vent the spread of the epi­demic.
