145 dengue cases in Lahad Datu this year

LAHAD DATU: A total of 145 dengue cases were recorded in this district since January to October, this year.

Chairman of Lahad Datu Health Committee, Stanley Chin Yat Min disclosed that two last cases were reported at Palm Heights and Jalan Pintas Kenangan areas.

Stanley said the district health committee with other related agencies were implementi­ng various efforts to curb the dengue cases.

“The efforts, including organizing ‘Gotong Royong’ programmes, to clean the areas and eliminate the mosquito breeding grounds,” he said.

Stanley also advised the public to increase hygienic care in their respective areas to prevent the spread of the epidemic.
