GEORGE TOWN: A five-yearold boy sustained serious injuries after falling five floors down while trying to shift his bicycle at Flat Desa Relau 1 near here yesterday.

Northeast District deputy police chief Supt Izwan Abdul Karim said in the incident around 1.30 pm, N.Keshvin was believed to have opened the grill in a bedroom window to throw down his bicycle.

“But the bicycle got caught on a clothesline and he climbed on the window to move it,” he said, adding residents found the boy lying on the parking lot of the flat.

“He is being warded at the intensive care unit and reported to be critical but stable,” Izwan said.

According to him, the boy’s mother had gone to fetch her second child aged six years from a kindergarten in Sungai Ara.

“She had left the youngest of her three children at home as he was asleep in the main bedroom. She said Keshvin was a hyperactive child,” he added. - Bernama
