KOTA KINABALU: The narrow and hazardous road junction from Gaya Park to Jalan Penampang has been widened and safer to use.

This road junction is under the Luyang state constituency, and its state assemblyman Datuk Hiew King Cheu said he had received requests from road users, especially from those who were involved in accidents there, to make good the hazardous road junction including the drain next to it.

Hiew thanked Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Musa Aman and the State Government for allocating the state assemblyman special allocation fund (ADUN Fund) to Luyang to carry out the various works for the safety and benefit of the people.

Hiew also hoped there would be more such improvement works to be carried out in the Luyang area.

At the same time he stressed that it was the people’s money that he was utilizing on all the small development works and therefore he would use it to benefit the people.

These small development works would cover the repairs of various infrastructure facilities, basketball courts, supply of rubbish bins, beautification works to the various parts of Luyang, bus and taxi stands, covered walkways, computers for schools, overhead foot bridges for schools, repair to school car parks, repair to village halls and installation of wall fans, and many others.

Hiew said he would try his best to carry out as many small development works as possible with the available fund.

He said this work for the benefit of the people would not be possible if he was still with the opposition party.
