Two Latinos sought over house break-ins

SHAH ALAM: Police are seeking two Latin Americans to facilitate investigations into a number of house breakin cases in Klang Valley recently.

District Police chief ACP Shafien Mamat said the duo were believed to have used a hired Honda Accord to carry out their spree.

He said the duo’s activities came to light on Oct 6 when they attempted to break into a house at Section 13 in Shah Alam around 7.30 pm.

“The houseowner became aware of their presence and quickly contacted the police. They fled, leaving the car at the roadside.

“A police patrol managed to track them to a taxi but before the personnel could nab them, they escaped into a nearby jungle,” he told reporters yesterday.

Shafien said various house break-in tools were found inside the vehicle used by the duo and further investigations led police to a house in Cyberjaya near here, about 8.30 pm on Oct 10. - Bernama
