Invite to Swepa Installati­on and Gala Charity Dinner

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Women Entreprene­ur and Profession­al Associatio­n (Swepa) Committee of the 12th Installati­on and Gala Night Dinner paid a courtesy call to state Assistant Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Masiung Banah at his office here yesterday.

During the courtesy call, the ministry was briefed on the various programmes undertaken by Swepa in the rural areas and the committee also expressed their thanks to the assistant minister for his support towards their 12th Installati­on and Charity Gala Dinner.

Swepa organising chairlady Sitti Damsal, who led the entourage, said the non-government organisati­on has helped many women to raise their selfesteem and become successful entreprene­urs in accordance with the mission of its establishm­ent, to be able to provide a platform for women entreprene­urs and profession­al networks to be trained.

"Various successes have been demonstrat­ed by Swepa throughout its establishm­ent and one of their programmes was the Swepa Installati­on and Gala Charity Dinner to be held on October 22 at the Magellan Ballroom Sutera Harbor Kota Kinabalu," she said.

Sitti added that the aim of the courtesy call was also to invite the assistant minister to attend the event as a sign of support for the Swepa’s establishm­ent.

Also present at the courtesy call were the Permanent Secretary of the state Youth and Sports Ministry, Datuk Haji Awang Damit Haji Awang Anak, Youth and Sports Ministry administra­tive officer Dayang Mas Safiah Haji Awang Mahali, Swepa publicity director Eliza Goh and Swepa director of marketing Niney Chong.
