In­vite to Swepa In­stal­la­tion and Gala Char­ity Din­ner

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Women En­tre­pre­neur and Pro­fes­sional As­so­ci­a­tion (Swepa) Com­mit­tee of the 12th In­stal­la­tion and Gala Night Din­ner paid a cour­tesy call to state As­sis­tant Youth and Sports Min­is­ter Datuk Ma­si­ung Banah at his of­fice here yes­ter­day.

Dur­ing the cour­tesy call, the min­istry was briefed on the var­i­ous pro­grammes un­der­taken by Swepa in the ru­ral ar­eas and the com­mit­tee also ex­pressed their thanks to the as­sis­tant min­is­ter for his sup­port to­wards their 12th In­stal­la­tion and Char­ity Gala Din­ner.

Swepa or­gan­is­ing chair­lady Sitti Dam­sal, who led the en­tourage, said the non-gov­ern­ment or­gan­i­sa­tion has helped many women to raise their self­es­teem and be­come suc­cess­ful en­trepreneurs in ac­cor­dance with the mis­sion of its es­tab­lish­ment, to be able to pro­vide a plat­form for women en­trepreneurs and pro­fes­sional net­works to be trained.

"Var­i­ous suc­cesses have been demon­strated by Swepa through­out its es­tab­lish­ment and one of their pro­grammes was the Swepa In­stal­la­tion and Gala Char­ity Din­ner to be held on Oc­to­ber 22 at the Mag­el­lan Ball­room Sutera Har­bor Kota Kinabalu," she said.

Sitti added that the aim of the cour­tesy call was also to in­vite the as­sis­tant min­is­ter to at­tend the event as a sign of sup­port for the Swepa’s es­tab­lish­ment.

Also present at the cour­tesy call were the Per­ma­nent Sec­re­tary of the state Youth and Sports Min­istry, Datuk Haji Awang Damit Haji Awang Anak, Youth and Sports Min­istry ad­min­is­tra­tive of­fi­cer Dayang Mas Safiah Haji Awang Ma­hali, Swepa pub­lic­ity di­rec­tor El­iza Goh and Swepa di­rec­tor of mar­ket­ing Niney Chong.
