Najib extends felicitations to Johor royalty for new-born baby
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak yesterday extended felicitations to the Johor royal family on the birth of an heir to the Johor throne.
He conveyed his felicitations to the Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and the entire Johor royal family.
The message was in conjunction with the birth of a baby boy to Che’ Puan Khaleeda Bustamam, the consort of the Tunku Mahkota Johor yesterday.
“Felicitations to the Sultan of Johor, Tunku Mahkota and the entire Johor royal family on the birth of an heir to the Johor throne,” Najib said in his Twitter account.
The birth was announced by the Johor Council of Royal Court president Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli in a statement yesterday.
The newborn son of the Tunku Mahkota of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and heir to the Johor throne has been named Tunku Iskandar Abdul Jalil Abu Bakar Ibrahim Ibni Tunku Ismail.
The second child of Tunku Ismail was given the name with the consent of the Sultan of Johor and the Johor Council of Royal Court.
“The Johor Council of Royal Court is pleased to announce that His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, the Sultan and Sovereign Ruler of the State and Territory of Johor Darul Ta’zim, and the Johor Council of Royal Court have named the son and heir to Duli Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Mahkota Johor as follows: Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Iskandar Abdul Jalil Abu Bakar Ibrahim Ibni Tunku Ismail,” he said in a statement yesterday.
