UMNO Malaysia is being respected and admired as a political party by its peers and also by all Malaysians because of their strength in leadership and their ability to understand people’s needs, supported by their relevance in capturing the imagination of Malaysian society as a whole.

The importance of education and knowledge is undeniable – thus, Puteri Umno Malaysia make a great effort by having a special arrangement with AeU to strengthen their knowledge in management and leadership, and also in making their personal and professional goals realised.

A group of Puteri Umno Malaysia delegates has attended an exclusive Master of Business Administration (MBA) preview and registration session organised by AeU at its Kuala Lumpur campus on Sept 7, 2017. They were led by two esteemed leaders and role models of Puteri Umno Malaysia, who are now AeU students.

The exclusive session started with a welcome speech and a brief overview of AeU by the Dean of School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (SA H USS ), Professor Dr Juhary Ali.

All guests are fascinated and highly encourage to pursue their education with AeU’s self-paced learning which offers them to fit their studies around their busy lifestyle. The welcoming speech explains and give a clearer vision to Puteri Umno Malaysia delegates on the advantage of being able to study and gain knowledge with freedom and flexibility with AeU.

The Dean of the School of Management, Assoc Prof Dr Wan Sabri also gave a preview of the MBA programme, where he highlighted the uniqueness of AeU MBA in developing leadership skills.

The session was attended by the former Minister of National Unity and Community Development, Tan Sri Datin Paduka Seri Hajah Zaleha Ismail who is now a newly registered AeU’s student in Master of Science (Management) (by Research). She is also the chairman of Global Peace Festival Malaysia.

During her speech, she highlighted the essential for all Puteri Umno Malaysia members to continue and adapting continuous learning culture in daily life in order to be a great leader and also to be able to support the current leaders to maintain the party in a higher state, respected, believed and valued by the societies.

“I encourage Puteri Umno Malaysia in lifelong learning. AeU’s MBA programme is a platform that will help them hone their leadership skills whether in the private or political segments. Many who are politicians, working adults and mothers should strive to improve and upgrade their educational levels so that they can be better planners, organisers and leaders to contribute to their organisations, society and country as a whole. This will increase women participations in the higher management and leadership roles which is still relatively low in Malaysia compared to other developed countries,” says Hajah Zaleha, who also gave some of her own examples and relate her success experience with her strict disciplines, ethics and leadership styles.

Later, the university received an application from Datin Azura Mohd Afandi, Exco of Puteri Umno Malaysia who is also the Head of Puteri Umno, Johor Bahru, followed by other Puteri Umno Malaysia members.
