Atilze wins TechXLR8 Award for Best IoT Deployment

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Atilze Digital Sdn Bhd (Atilze), a wholly owned subsidiary of G3 Global Bhd has won the TechXLR8 Awards for Best IoT Deployment in Singapore in conjunction with the Internet of Things World Asia event. The Internet of Things World Asia and the TechXLR8 Awards are part of the globally recognised TechXLR8 event series that started in London. TechXLR8 is a fresh innovation event in Asia, showcasing five leading technology events, over 20 tracks of focused content, 100+ innovators and 2,500 potential partners.

This event provides a unique platform to bring all the top Internet of Things (IoT) players together to showcase the best of Asia’s technology and IoT solutions across the Asia Pacific (APAC) market to decision makers and key players who seek innovative solutions to support their future IoT deployment strategies.

“This award represents the excellence in the APAC’s technology and telco players. I am extremely delighted that Atilze has been recognised in such a notable event, with the Best IoT Deployment award.

“The TechXLR8 Awards is a clear signal that we are heading in the right direction towards our goal”, said Gerard Lim, chief executive officer of Atilze.

Atilze was chosen and awarded in one of the categories of the TechXLR8 Awards for the Best IoT Deployment with its comprehensive and innovative smart farming IoT solutions.

The smart farming solution is now being implemented in Indonesia for the purpose of improving paddy yields production. The solution is deployed by determining the optimal water amount, besides other secondary parameters, such as nutrients supply and weather conditions in paddy fields of remote areas, without power access nor communications infrastructure.

As part of the delivery of the smart farm solution, Atilze has successfully designed its own custom sensor hubs with built-in LoRa connectivity module, solar power supply and weather-proof enclosure to withstand the elements. Commenting further Lim added, “It is forecast by the United Nations, that food production needs to increase by 70 per cent to feed a population of 9.6 billion worldwide.

With the deployment of the smart farming solutions, farmers can now increase yields by boosting their production through technology, resulting in an increased in rice production between 30 to 50 per cent, as well as water savings by 50 per cent.

This will help to tackle the challenges that are faced by most countries, struggling with food security in the face of unpredictable weather patterns.

I do hope that the deployment of smart farming will be adopted by hundreds, if not thousands, more farms in Indonesia and other countries. With better production yields, comes higher income and better quality of life for the farmers and its surrounding communities.”

The TexhXLR8 Awards is the place to keep pace with the latest tech developments. The innovation of a full scale system for paddy (rice), as the primary staple food in Indonesia, and the rest of Southeast Asia has allowed for Atilze to successfully use IoT to deliver positive results for the farming industry, that had resulted in the winning of the TechXLR8 Awards for Best IoT Deployment.
