SEMBULAN: Aseana College International celebrated its ninth anniversary yesterday.
Its Chief Operating Officer, Lassan Sambuoi, shared that the college began with merely one programme - Diploma in Nursing in 2008.
Now the college offers diploma programmes in nursing, business administration, health care management, business computing and occupational safety and health, he said.
He also said that the college was collaborating with Universiti Malaya (UM) to run its Early Childhood Education Executive Diploma programme for a twoyear duration, starting from next month.
“This will be a part-time programme and classes will be held during the weekend,” he said.
The college is also offering Executive Diploma in Management (Administrative and Operation), Executive Diploma in Management (Human Resource) and Executive Diploma in Information Technology.
“We have a lot of good programmes in Aseana. We want our academic performance to continue at the top,” he said.
Lassan also said that the performance of the college’s nursing students had been excellent over the years, with 100 per cent passing rate in the examination for registered nurses by the Malaysia Nursing Board.
He urged the college’s present batch of nursing diploma students to continue the tradition of excellence that had been started by their predecessors.
Yesterday, students at the college carried out performances and games as well as participated in a blood donation campaign organised by the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
