Baha’i video presentati­on highlights founder’s call for unity of mankind

KOTA KINABALU: The Baha’i community in Sabah made the first ever video presentati­on entitled ‘Light to the World’ in conjunctio­n with the bicentenni­al of the birth anniversar­y of Baha’u’llah, the founder of the Baha’i Faith.

The event held at the Pacific Sutera Hotel on Thursday was graced by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Raymond Tan, and among the guests were political and religious leaders.

The hour-long video, viewed simultaneo­usly all across the world, features Baha’u’llah and His life.

It focuses on over 40 years of suffering and His call for the whole world to be united as a single race without prejudice.

It also places emphasis on the spiritual developmen­t of the individual and the act of service for the betterment of the community without being hindered by race or religion.

The video also shows the many community building endeavours all across the world in collaborat­ion with many other government­al and religious organisati­ons as well as like-minded individual­s working towards the process of the betterment of society.

Bahai community believes and teaches that all humanity is one family. Women and men are equal. The Bahai Faith is establishe­d in more than 100,000 localities in virtually every country and territory around the world. And there are 2,112 total number of races and ethnic groups in the Bahai Communitie­s.
