Bosi submits form to join PAN
PENAMPANG: The inclusion of Kapayan assemblyman Dr Edwin Bosi, in Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri (PAN) will open many doors for the public to join the party, said its president, Datuk Henrynus Amin.
He described the inclusion of Edwin into the party as politically significant and historic as it signifies trust and confidence in the visions, political struggle and leadership of the party.
“Bosi's decision could just be the tipping point for PAN to tip the balance to its favour and perhaps widen its vision by reaching out to potential supporters all over Sabah to join the party,” Henrynus told reporters when met at the handing over ceremony of Bosi's membership application to the party in front of the statue of Datuk Peter Mojuntin at Donggongon on Thursday.
Characterizing Bosi as 'minister material', Henrynus urged the people of Penampang to vote for him, whether he stands in the Moyog state seat or the Penampang parliamentary seat.
He reiterated that Bosi will be an asset to the party as his experience and talents will guide the younger leaders to face the challenges ahead. Bosi's position in the party is yet to be decided, Henrynus said.
Explaining his decision to join PAN, Bosi said, the main factor that he looks for when joining a political party is the quality of its leaders.
“I was impressed with the experience and the able leadership of Datuk Henrynus, who is the former Ranau MP and PBS secretarygeneral together with the party's secretary Dr Paul Porodong, just to name a few,” Bosi said, adding that thirty of his supporters also joined the party together with him.
Bosi said he was also impressed with the objectives of PAN, which are very close to his heart, citing PAN's fight to protect native's rights under Article 153 of the Federal Constitution as an example.
“I can see that the Batu Sumpah Keningau, MA63 and the Federal Constitution which are mentioned frequently in the aims and objectives of the party will be the guiding light of PAN's struggle,” Bosi reiterated
