Moses Chan, Roger Kwok give 'walkovers'
If there is an award, then it would be unexpected. Cho Lam had said that ‘Inbound’ is not the type of series to win awards. Comedies require teamwork and it’s hard to stand out.
HONG KONG: Both Moses Chan and three-time winner Roger Kwok have dismissed the possibility of capturing TVB’s Best Actor award this year.
Commenting on his chances of winning, Moses shook his head and replied: “No. I view this normally. Gaining popularity is already a bonus and winning the award depends on luck.”
On being reminded that Vincent Wong was named Best Actor during StarHub TVB Awards 2017, Moses remained unmoved and only offered congratulations.
Meanwhile, three-time Best TVB Actor Roger Kwok, who has starred in all three series of comedian Wong Cho Lam’s Inbound franchise, also dismissed the possibility of winning this year.
Added a relaxed-looked Roger: “If there is an award, then it would be unexpected. Cho Lam had said that Inbound is not the type of series to win awards. Comedies require teamwork and it’s hard to stand out.”
Moses Chan and Sammy Leung had showed up for the Experience Macau 2017 Your Own Style Carnival.
When asked if there would be a sequel to Line Walker: The Prelude, Moses said: “I have not heard anything about the sequel yet but there is a high possibility. The series improves our popularity and I hope it will bring us more work opportunities.”
Roger is starring with Ada Choi in At the Threshold of an Era. They had last collaborated in a series some 17 years ago.
Roger said he still has a fine rapport with Ada, and their conversations these days focus on the challenges of raising children.
Added Roger: “Our children are of about the same age, but we have different ways of raising

them. I am more stable, and she is a little riskier. For example, when she goes on vacation (with her children), she would choose to drive. I wouldn’t dare to do that. I’d rather use public transportation.”
On whether he is considering making his directorial debut, Roger laughed and said, “No, it’s too exhausting. When you work in the creative arena, you essentially don’t get to rest at all. Even after you get home, your mind is still on work mode. Wong Cho Lam has a big head, so he has a lot of brain space for creativity.”
