Microsoft Malaysia appoints new SMC, OCP lead for M’sia

KUALA LUMPUR: Microsoft Malaysia has appointed Yeo Swee Key as its OCP (One Commercial Partner) and SMC (Small, Medium and Corporate) lead for the subsidiary, orchestrat­ing the partner ecosystem and enabling small, medium and corporate customers to accelerate growth and enhance their business digitally.

Yeo, a member of the Malaysia leadership team, is dedicated to drive Microsoft Malaysia’s SMC customers and partner landscape to greater heights. Leading a team of talented individual­s, Yeo will be responsibl­e for designing, aligning and empowering the SMC segment as they embark on their digital transforma­tion journey.

He will also further strengthen the partner ecosystem by helping them build a profitable business, enabling them to recognize and respond to new opportunit­ies, and help them identify and connect with new customers to market solutions.

“I started my career developing and marketing applicatio­ns and eventually moved into hardware sales and channel management roles. I am thrilled to take up the role as the OCP and SMC lead as I continue my journey in the IT industry in Malaysia.

With over 28 years of experience in the IT sector, and leadership and management experience spanning across the Asean markets, Yeo is an industry veteran who is well recognised and respected by peers. Prior to joining Microsoft Yeo was the Regional Lead for Asean Distributi­on for Cisco Systems Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

A veteran in the IT industry, his experience spans across stints at Dell Asia Pacific, NEC Computers Malaysia, IBM PC Division and HP Commercial Sales and Mesiniaga.

Yeo holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Computer Science from Campbell University and is also a member of Mensa Malaysia.
