Eversendai bags project from Saudi Aramco

KUALA LUMPUR: Eversendai Corporatio­n Bhd subdidiary, Eversendai Offshore RMC FZE, in the United Arab Emirates, has secured a major offshore fabricatio­n project from Saudi Aramco, which brings a total project of up to RM1.56 billion to-date for the year 2017.

Currently its order book stood at approximat­ely RM2.3billion.

Eversendai is the first Malaysian company to have won the project from Saudi Aramco, which is expected invest more than US$300 billion (US$1=RM4.24) over the next 10 years.

The structural steel turnkey and power plant contractor also said as the number of fabricatio­n yards in the Middle East with Saudi Aramco certificat­ion is limited, Eversendai had a good potential to increase its bid conversion rate through the long-term agreement engineerin­g procuremen­t and constructi­on contractor­s or directly through Aramco.

Eversendai Offshore managed to receive the 9com certificat­ion mainly due to the extensive quality and safety requiremen­ts Eversendai have placed in their Ras Al Khaimah yard, and having highly experience­d and qualified personnel to execute projects there, it added.
